App installation

Stock optimizer app can be used on Clover devices, as well as on any other Android powered device.
First it has to be installed for Clover merchant account. This can be achieved on Clover app market web page or using More tools app on Clover devices. After Stock optimizer is installed for Clover merchant account, it will be automatically downloaded and installed on merchant's Clover devices. For non-Clover devices it can be downloaded and installed from Google Play.

When used on Clover devices, Stock optimizer detects merchant and automatically sets itself up for that merchant.

When used on non-Clover devices, Stock optimizer presents Clover login screen. After merchant logs in Stock Optimizer is set up for that merchant. Merchant details are visible on Dashboard - merchant screen, reachable through left-hand side menu.

Data download and sales analysis

On first app run every day Stock Optimizer automatically downloads data from Clover and performs sales and stock analysis. Orders taken into account are those older than current day midnight. Information about data download time and orders taken into account in sales analysis are visible on Dashboard - data screen, reachable through left-hand side menu.

Viewing items that will first go out of stock

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen. Select the Potential stock-outs view option.

All items that had some sales in analysis period are displayed sorted by estimated sales days left. (column DAYS LEFT).

Viewing high inventory level items

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen and select the High inventory level items view option.

All items that had some sales in analysis period are displayed sorted descending by estimated sales days left. (column DAYS LEFT).

Viewing items that are out of stock

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen and select the Out of stock items view option.

All items that had some sales in analysis period with stock quantity of zero (column STOCK) are displayed.

Viewing dead stock items

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen and select the Dead stock items view option.

All items that had zero sales (column DAILY ($)) in analysis period and have stock quantity greater than zero (column STOCK) are displayed.

Viewing highest revenue items

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen and select the Highest revenue items view option.

All items that had some sales in analysis period are displayed, sorted descending by daily revenue (column DAILY ($)).

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen and select the Lowest revenue items view option.

Open the Sales Analysis Results screen and select the No revenue items view option.

All items that had zero sales in analysis period are displayed, sorted by stock quantity (column STOCK).

Changing sales analysis parameters

To change the sales analysis parameters open the Preferences screen on the left-hand side menu.

You can adjust the period that will be taken into account by setting the Maximum order age parameter to one of the possible values: 1 month (30 days), 2 months (60 days), 3 months (90 days), 6 months (180 days) or 1 year (365 days).
Possible values for ABC analysis schema parameter are: A=70% sales, B=20% sales, C=10% sales, A=70% sales, B=25% sales, C=5% sales, A=60% sales, B=30% sales, C=10% sales, A=50% sales, B=30% sales, C=20% sales.

Purchase lists

Purchase lists can be created and viewed on the Purchase List screen, which can be opened through the left-hand side menu.

When opening Purchase List screen for the first time or after choosing Create purchase list option on the right-hand menu the New Purchase List Parameters dialog is opened.

This dialog enables setting the number of sales days the purchased quantity along with quantity already on stock will last. The number of days can be set for each ABC category.

Exporting purchase lists

Purchase lists can be exported from Purchase List screen, which can be opened through the left-hand side menu. On the right-hand side action menu, option Export purchase list can be chosen, which opens the Data Export Method Selection dialog. Three options are available: Put data to clipboard, Compose email with data attached and Send email with data attached.
Put data to clipboard option puts purchase list into clipboard, thus making it available to be pasted into other apps on the device.
Compose email with data attached option creates new email in default email client with the purchase list attached. This option won't be available if there is no email client installed on the device.
Send email with data attached option sends email with purchase list attached to email address given by the user.

Viewing item details

On Sales Analysis Results screen, long-pressing an item row opens the Item Details screen.
